Is it just me or does adding Danny Granger to our roster make too much sense. I recently read rumors that CG and company are shopping Nerlens Noel and are looking for a proven scoring option at SF. Now, I am not saying I would give up the first pick for Granger. Actually being able to take NN and still greatly improve our chances of making it out of the lottery would be the goal in trading for him in the first place. I know he is coming off an injury and he is a bit older than we’d like, but he does have a manageable contract that conveniently expires in 2014.I don’t know how much I’d be willing to lose for him and would love to hear any ideas you gentlemen could come up with that would make this trade mutually beneficial for both parties. My thoughts are the Pacers might take something like Varejao to either provide another quality big off the bench or to use in a later trade in addition to the 19th and 2nd round picks. I know a lot of you may think that’s too expensive a price to pay for him, but I can’t think of a better player we’d realistically be able to get for that price. I think the Cavs management made a mistake in over valuing Andy last year and we may actually end up paying for it because he’s losing value with each year due to age and accumulation of injuries. *For the record I’m a huge fan of Andy’s and wish he could stay healthy and retire with us, but losing him does not have the same consequences if it blows up in our faces as it would if we missed out on NN and he proves worthy of a top 5 pick. As for the lost picks, we already have a really young team and this is exactly the situation we should be using these types of assets for. Anyway let me know what you guys think?
