Ok, so I've repeatedly run across this video comparing Len and Noel in their one head-to-head game. This is not a good video to use, especially if you plan to compare the two in a vacuum. In this game, the first of the season for both Maryland and Kentucky, pundits will point out Len vaguely outperformed Noel in some aspects.
However, keep in mind Len is well over a year older, and already has the benefit of a full season of college ball behind him. Noel is suffering from a hastened schedule resulting in missing the Kentucky training camp.
Some have said Len's stress fracture could be the result of a "weaning" cycle from steroids. This is wild speculation, and if it is true, it does not quench the level of concern I have about the injury, it just refocuses it into character issues.
"I'm... just a hard worker, I'm a team player.." -Nerlens Noel
Noel is proving his quote with an astounding rebound from ACL surgery. There should be little doubt he comes back into full form.
Mr. GM, tomorrow night the choice if we go big is clear: Nerlens Noel.
This isn't cards. What you see is likely what you get.
