The draft is a little less than a day away. So here is my final predictions on how the first round will shake out. I will give my take on how the lottery picks will shake out, as well as any trades I foresee happening. Lets begin.
Before the draft, Cleveland finally comes down with their mega-deal they have been looking for.
Miami gets: #1 pick, Luke Walton
Cleveland gets: Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh
This is a great deal for Miami. They get to get rid of many bad contracts and also get a superstar in Walton, who averages a triple half-double and the first pick. Now to begin the mock draft.
1. Miami Heat: Ryan Kelly, PF, Duke
Miami gets a great piece in Kelly that will fit perfectly with new wonder Luke Walton. Miami's bandwagon increases by 123%
2. Orlando Magic: Peyton Siva, PG, Louisville
Orlando GM has fallen in love with Siva after watching him dominate in the National Championship game. All 29 other GMs growl at the fact that a national champion didn't go to them.
3. Washington Wizards: Nemanja Nedovic, PG, Serbia
The name alone makes this a slam dunk for Washington. Plus with John Wall insisting he be moved to Center, this makes that move even more possible.
We have yet another trade in the draft. It is a deal between the Clippers and Bobcats.
Bobcats receive: Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Deandre Jordan, 2020 first round pick.
Clippers receive: #4 pick, Bismack Biyombo
All 14 Bobcats fans are up in arms with yet another horrible deal for the team. Charlotte gives up a legend in the making in Biyombo for three scrubs and a pick. And don't even mention losing the #4 pick. A statue is already made in front of the Clippers arena for the arrival of Biyombo
4: LA Clippers: James Ennis, SF, Long Beach State
The fact that Ennis went to Long Beach State in California, the same state where the Clippers play, makes this the perfect fit for a growing franchise.
5: Phoenix Suns: Raul Neto, PG, Brazil
Consider the Suns had the worst offense in the NBA, and the Brazilian PG is named "NET-o", which means he can score, makes this a great marriage for the two.
We have yet another trade!
Pelicans get: Chris Andersen
Heat get: #6 pick
A great trade for both sides. New Orleans gets bird man to help with the new Pelican look, and Miami continues to build a championship team.
6. Miami Heat: Vitalis Chikoko, C, Germany
Miami quickly finds a replacement that will be "vital" to there title hopes (Haha, get it? Vitalis? Vital, VITALis?).
7. Sacramento Kings: Carrick Felix, SG, Arizona State
The Kings draft Felix so that they can call him King Felix.
8. Detroit Pistons: Chukwudiebere Maduabum, PF, Nigeria
Maduabum was drafted 2 years ago, but he didn't like is draft position, so he re-entered this year. Don't worry Pistons fans, if this was a draft based on names, he would be the next Michael Jordan.
The trades keep on coming for this draft, as many teams want to get the players they want.
Timberwolves receive: Festus Ezeli
Golden State receives: #9 pick
Golden State must really want a player if they gave up Ezeli for this pick.
9. Golden State Warriors: Seth Curry, SG, Duke
The Curry brothers have invaded Oracle arena! With this dynamic duo of brothers, Golden State looks to be the team to beat next year.
10. Portland Trail Blazers: Rick Head, unknown, unknown
We do not have any information on who this player is, but we assume he is a good pick.
11. Philadelphia 76ers: Colton Iverson, C, Colorado State
Philadelphia rejoices at the fact that the Sixers drafted Allen Iverson's little brother. Allen has taught little bro Colton many of his techniques, so expect the Sixers assist numbers to decline dramatically.
The final trade of the lottery comes with a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the LA Lakers
Thunder receive: Nothing
Lakers receive: #12 pick, Kendrick Perkins
Obviously the Thunder are serious about getting rid of Kendrick Perkins if they give up a lottery pick and receive nothing in return.
12. LA Lakers: Nobody
Jim Buss, after realizing that he just received Kendrick Perkins, rage quits the draft and does not make a selection.
13. Dallas Mavericks: Dewayne Dedmon, C, USC
In an effort to try to resign OJ Mayo, the Mavericks draft USC product Dedmon to try to persuade his fellow USC alum to stay in D-town.
14. Utah Jazz: Nate Wolters, PG, South Dakota State
South Dakota is a state?
Here are my predictions for picks 15-30:
15. Bucks: Myck Kabongo
16. Celtics: Trevor Mbawke
17. Hawks: Livio Jean-Charles
18. Hawks: Kenny Kadji
19. Cavaliers: Mike Muscala
20. Bulls: Giannis Adetokunbo
21. Jazz: Grant Jerrett
22. Nets: Jay-Z
23: Pacers: Larry Bird
24: Knicks: Spike Lee
25: Clippers: Doc Rivers
26: MInnesota: Rubiocat
27: Nuggets: Carmelo Anthony
28: Spurs: Lucas Nogueria
29: Thunder: Alex Abrines
30: Suns: Sergey Karasev
This is probably the most accurate mock draft you will see in one of the deepest drafts ever. Please leave your comments if you think yours is better (I guarantee its not).
