Rumors of something big, the Cavs making no moves that tie up any cap room right now despite having almost 30 million to work with. . .
The GSW make a pitch to Dwight Howard despite being 10 million+ over the cap and the Lakers stating they won't do a sign and trade- the Warriors have to be working on a plan B to at least give them leverage on the Lakers. . .
Dwight rumored to be at least considering the GSW offer
The basic outline would have to be- The Warriors dumping Bogut/Biedrens/Lee to clear up enough cap room
Then GSW needs to find a home for David Lee while taking on less than 7 million back (not exact) and then they have ~ enough space to sign Dwight.
For GS only Bogut/Lee were instrumental to their playoff run and bogu is replaced by a much better version of himself. Lee was a stat stuffer but the team was able to morph into something very dangerous without him in the playoffs and many note his lack of D as the primary reason.
For the Cavs they land the defensive presence they need at C (if healthy) Bogut and Varejoa can keep each others mins down and hopefully keep them both healthy. Rush is a terrific 3 pt shooter when healthy, though not much on D or rebounding.
The third team.... I have no idea who wants David Lee but he wouldn't be to bad if he was effectively 7 million (when you dump a salary).
This is the only thing I can think of that would require all, or almost all, of the Cavs cap space that they would be waiting on signing, or even offering contracts.
