Forgive But Never Forget

Just a reminder why I despise LeBron.

I think I can speak on behalf of Cleveland. To start, he said he would not leave until he brought a championship to Cleveland. The Lyin’ King stated “I got a goal, and it’s a huge goal, and that’s to bring an NBA championship here to Cleveland. And I won’t stop until I get it.” Next, he quits against Boston, specifically in game 5, his last home game in his hometown. Then of course, “The Decision,” where he doesn’t thank or mention Cleveland once throughout the whole hour. Near the end of the primetime event on ESPN, he arrogantly says “I’m taking my talents to South Beach,” betraying his former team and fans. He gave Cleveland the cold shoulder while basically admitting he couldn’t be the man, so he decided to join 2 other superstars instead. The last shot was the “not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4…” speech. There was no limit during that pre season party. He had the right to leave, but at least he could’ve shown some respect and dignity to the city that praised him for seven years.

His reputation was dampened, but it looks like he made a good decision. I loved him at a time and he is the reason why I love the game, so I will get over it and forgive him one day, but I will never forget. I’m sure I’d take LeBron back if he decides to return, but until then I will always root against him. Ultimately, he broke our hearts and it’s just sad that he is winning titles and it’s not with Cleveland. I can’t even imagine what the party would be like in this city.
