Coming off of back to back losses to the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards, the Cavaliers could use some good news.
It won't be on the injury front:
#Cavs' Mike Brown continues to say there's "no timetable" on return of injured Andy Varejao (back), Dion Waiters (knee) & CJ Miles (ankle).— M.S. Boyer/J. Valade (@PDcavsinsider) February 24, 2014
-For Miles and Waiters, this will be the third game missed since both suffered injuries in the recent win against the 76ers. In their stead, guards Jarrett Jack and Matthew Dellavedova have shot a combined 9-32 (28%) from the field, 2-12 (16%) from 3 in the previous two games.
-Varejao has been out since playing 43 minutes in a win against the Grizzlies on February 9th. The nature of the injury (back soreness) combined with his age and injury history are worrisome. The Cavs have gotten good play from newly acquired Spencer Hawes and current starter Tyler Zeller in Varejao's absence, and also signed center Arinze Onuaku to a 10 day contract.
Given that they don't have a timetable today, the odds of any of the three playing tomorrow when the Cavs host the Toronto Raptors seem slim.
