Our guys have been sucking. This is not fun. Some of our guys need to be traded. This is also not fun. What is fun, however, is trade ideas, so I decided to throw out a few without delving too much into the analysis because this is just for fun. Let's get right to it:
This idea obviously isn't originally from me, as it has floated around FTS for some time. I think that it's pretty realistic and Miles helps the Thunder replace some of what they had with Lamb. We get our shooting guard of the future and franchise center (kidding).
I don't know if this is enough to entice the Jazz, but they aren't going anywhere with Hayward or Jefferson this year. I like Hayward and the trade is done so we have the ability to match any offer this offseason rather than the Jazz. Jefferson gives us another veteran presence.
Draft (assuming we are picking 5-10):
Noah Vonleh, Indiana. If developed right, he could help us forget about Nerlens. However, he shouldn't be expected to do anything for the first few years, so Tyler Zeller and a FA veteran center will hold the fort for next year. He could potential be a great fit with Anthony Bennett.
1. Keep Hayward-should be relatively easy, as he is a restricted free agent
2. Sign Sameul Dalembert to a one year deal- good stopgap backup center until Vonleh is ready
3. Offer Deng 4 years and 48 million with the last year a team option and hope he accepts
2014/15 Team (assuming Deng accepts):
Pg: Irving, Jack, Delly
Sg: Hayward, Lamb, Felix
Sf: Deng, Hayward, Karasev
Pf: Thompson, Bennett (Bennett becomes starter mid-season), Deng
C: Zeller, Dalembert, Vonleh, Perkins
What do you guys think?
