Kyrie Irving will defend his title in Foot Locker Three Point Contest

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Kyrie will try to make it back to back three point titles.

Kyrie Irving went to Houston last February and won the three-point shootout. A few weeks ago, Kyrie said that he would absolutely like to go back to All Star Weekend and defend his title. Naturally, the NBA will give him that opportunity.

Kyrie Irving is the starting point guard for the Eastern Conference this year on All Star Sunday and will look to win back to back three-point shootout titles on Saturday night. The competition will be pretty tough, but nobody expected Kyrie Irving to win last year.

This time he'll go up against Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards, Arron Afflalo of the Orlando Magic, Joe Johnson of the Brooklyn Nets, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, and Marco Bellineli of the San Antonio Spurs.

Curry will undoubtedly be the favorite, but it will be pretty cool if Kyrie can win his second in a row. And if Kyrie can win this year, you can bet that he'll be back next year too. He has said that his goal is to match Larry Bird's three straight three point contest titles.
