It's been rumored for months that Kyrie wants out, and while he has denied it, the Cavs are rumored to not give him max money. Clearly there is rift at some level between the team and Kyrie. At 21, Kyrie Irving still has a ton of room to grow. But if he is an issue in the locker room (again, rumored) and has no plans to stay with the Cavs for whatever reason, you might as well get some assists for him.
Now, there are several cons to trading Kyrie. Like stated before, he is a 21 year old point guard that has been in multiple all star games (even won the MVP for the game, for whatever that's worth) and appears to be the best young point guard in the league. However, if you get nothing for him when he has no interest in staying, then you might as well trade him and get something.
So what is your opinion? Me, I think we should keep him unless a deal comes about where we get substantial assets and draft picks. Otherwise he should be a Cav for coming future.
