'Sup all, this is my first fan-post. So, we've all (likely) witnessed the recent unceromonious collapse of the Pacers, and I can't help but think, maybe we can capitalise on it. What if the Pacers want to blow it up? This is where my trade idea comes in.
Of course,in this scenario we would also send the no 1 pick to Indy, a second and a 2016 first to Milwaukee, while the Pacers 2014 pick comes back to us. Now, why would we consider trading the no1 pick? For me, I honestly dont see Wiggins becoming any better than PG, and Embiid's health, as of yet, is an unknown.
In this scenario, we get our rim protection, a floor spacing 4 and our SF of the present, and future. Kyrie's ability to handle the ball would take the ball out of George's hands, cutting down on his turnover issues, and we would finally (!) give Kyrie and Dion room to drive and dish.
The roster would be rounded out with a Jarrett Jack trade to Memphis (who need ball handling/3 pt shooting) for Courtney Lee (fyi, I dont think MEM would do this, but lets roll with it!). We would then roll into the season looking like this.
6th man-Dion Waiters (34 mins a game, with one of he or Kyrie on the floor at all times)
Solid D and Spacing for the first time in Kyries career would allow him to kick on and show his team leading ability, and we would be goin' to the playoffs sooner rather than later.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
