What to do with Jarrett Jack? I think this is the question many Cavs fans seem to be asking themselves, myself included. His play early in the year had many questioning why the Cavs would commit 3 years and 19 millions dollars to a 30 year old point guard who is very ball-dominant. His play did seem to progress as the year went on, and some feel he may be of use, especially as he is a veteran on a very young team.
Some have suggested that Jack may be apart of a trade for Harrison Barnes of the Warriors however someone else would have to be included as the salaries don't match. However, I made a fanpost on the Warriors SB Nation site, and they seemed to trash the idea, even if it included a pick. You can see it here. Obviously their SB Nation commenters don't represent their front office's beliefs, but if the Warriors aren't interested in a Jack for Barnes trade, who might be? Who would you be interested in seeing come to Cleveland for Jack?
Or, would you be interested in seeing Jack stay on with the Cavs. He is one of the very few veterans on the team, and that presence may be valuable, especially if Loul Deng leaves in free agency. He could be a mentor for Kyrie Irving and Matthew Dellavedova. Also, if Jack leaves in return for a player who is not a point guard would you be comfortable with Delly being our second point guard? These are all very difficult questions the Cavs front office will have to answer this offseason. Let me know what you all think!
