NBA Draft Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers will not trade #1 pick to Sixers

Scott Rovak-USA TODAY Sports

The Cavs might keep this pick after all!

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers are no longer working on a trade involving the first overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

The Sixers have been in love with Andrew Wiggins for the entire season and have tried desperately to get the #1 pick from the Cavs. But for now, it appears that David Griffin has defeated Sam Hinkie. Hinkie tried to get the #1 pick from Cleveland, but he was just too weak. He could not get the job done. You have been bested, Sam Hinkie.

Assuming the deal is really dead, the Cavs will likely select Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins with the first pick.
