While it is mostly opinion, I've always been interested in how people answer the age-old question, who's the greatest? Some say Magic, some say Jordan, some say Bird or Wilt. I love to debate this, because there are no wrong answers and I love to here other peoples opinions on the subject. So, to start the debate, I will now name my top 5 greatest players of all-time.

#5: Tim Duncan

Fresh off of his 5th NBA championship, Tim Duncan has been a model of consistency over his 16-year career and is the only player in NBA history to win an NBA title in three different decades. A true leader on and off the court, Duncan has earned a spot as a top 5 player of all-time and could easily move up this list if he happens to win another championship.

#4: Bill Russell

The ultimate winner, Russell was one of the greatest centers to ever play the game of basketball. A dominant two-way player that managed to lead his Celtics to an unprecedented 11 NBA titles in his 13-year career. There is a reason they named the finals MVP award after him.

#3: Larry Bird

Arguably the greatest SF ever, Bird was a dead-eye shooter, a tremendous rebounder and a great passer that won 3 NBA titles while playing against some of the toughest competition in league history. Larry Legend will always be remembered for his incredible battles with Magic Johnson and the showtime Lakers in the 80's.

#2: Earvin "Magic" Johnson

The greatest PG in NBA history. Magic was able to make some of the most amazing and entertaining passes you will ever see, but he was more than just an entertainer, he led his Lakers to 5 NBA titles in his 13-year career before retiring in 1996.

#1: Michael Jordan

There are so many reasons why Michael is the greatest of all-time, he had no weakness, he had incredible finishing ability, the post game of a polished center, a great jump shot, and he was arguably the greatest perimeter defender in NBA history. One of the fiercest competitors the game has ever seen, Jordan and his Bulls were 6 for 6 in the NBA finals with Jordan winning finals MVP every time. Simply the greatest, perhaps no one will ever match or surpass Jordan.

I would love to read your thoughts on my top 5 and who you think are the top 5 greatest players ever. Thanks for reading.

BTW:

Feel free to include your top 5 Cavaliers players of all-time.
