According to a report from ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Andrew Wiggins will come to an agreement on a contract this week. Wiggins, who the Cavs took No. 1 overall in the 2014 Draft, had not yet signed a contract yet due to the Cavaliers' pursuit of financial flexibility in the wake of signing LeBron James in free agency according to Windhorst.
There was speculation that Wiggins had not signed a deal because the Cavs were planning on using him as a centerpiece for Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love. And in the past few days, it was even reported that the Cavs had offered Wiggins for Love after saying he was off-limits in previous talks.
When/if Wiggins signs a deal, he would not be able to be traded for 30 days. This likely means that the Cavs aren't actually going to trade him for Love at the current time.
