I always come across biased trade machine deals on other team's blogs and even from Cavs fans on twitter. My goal is not to suggest an off-the-wall Cavs centric deal, but one that benefits each team involved, tell me what you think, fans of the Sixers & Wolves as well.
Cavs Revieve- 19 Million
Pf Kevin Love: 15.7
C Nerlens Noel: 3.3
Why: Obvious. They get the best Power Forward in basketball and an elite rim protector who can play 20 minutes a night his rookie year, a perfect fit on a team with Irving & Love and the eventual replacement for Varejao down the road, probably should have been the #1 pick last year in hindsight.
Sixers Get- 16.9 Million
Pf Anthony Bennett: 5.6
Sg Kevin Matin: 6.8
Pg J.J Barea: 4.5
Rights to Sf Glenn Robinson III
Mem 1st Via Cle (Likely lottery)
2018 1st Via Cle (Next Cavs pick eligible for trade)
Minn 2nd
Why: A team in target acquisition mode flips Noel into the former #1 pick, Bennett, the better fit basketball wise next to a healthy Joel Embiid, while also obtaining two future 1st's, which are gold to them, while ensuring another top 3 pick this year. In addition they get a quality shooter on a reasonable deal that they can eventually flip to a contender for more assets. To complete the deal they get a young wing in Robinson III, a future 2nd, and an expiring contract which is easily absorbed on a team with ample cap space.
Wolves Get: 19.5 Million
Sg Andrew Wiggins 5.5
Pf Thad Young 9.6
C Branden Haywood 2.2
Pg John Lucas III 1.6 *Non-Guaranteed
Pf Erik Murphy 0.8 *Non-Guaranteed
Mia 1st Via Cle
Why: In this scenario Flip Saunders gets the two players he fantasizes over not named Klay Thompson, and the cap relief he desires dumping Martin & Barea, while also obtaining a reasonably high draft pick & a nice trade-chip in Haywood for a team that can't lure free agents. They are also said to be high on Murphy, for what it is worth. Let me repeat that they get Andrew Wiggins, the best compensation player-wise they could ever hope to receive for a player who is already out the door.
