The Cavs' season is coming soon, and potentially it is bringing the SPURSDAD with it. J.R. Wilco, managing editor of our San Antonio sister blog Pounding The Rock, reached out to me to discuss the rumor that the NBA season will kick off with the defending champs visiting Cleveland.
Spurs fans feel like they've earned a home opener, and the league is disrespecting them. I get that. I also feel like KEEP THE SPURS AWAY FROM MY SHINY NEW SUPERTEAM FOR A LITTLE BIT PLEASE.
Kevin Love? Andrew Wiggins? David Blatt? Kyrie Irving? There are a million story lines with the Cavaliers. For the Spurs, well, they won a ring, re-signed everyone but Aron Baynes so far, and their biggest drama has been that Manu Ginobili won't be given clearance to participate in FIBA activities this offseason. Yes, I'm incredibly jealous.
