Why no sign and trades?

Why did the Cavs not complete a sign and trade for any of there out going free agents?

I know there was a need to acquire space for Lebron but if he wanted to be here this could have been orchestrated better. Hawes, Deng and CJ Miles left for nothing and we actually need empty expiring contracts. I know the Clippers were considering a sign and trade for Hawes at least.

The Pacers (CJ Miles) and Heat (Deng) were in no mood to do us any favors but we can't match salaries with any team unless we give up some of our recent lottery selections.

Last year Deng made 14 million, Hawes 6, Jack 6, and Miles 2 and that's 28 million going out from last years cap to only Lebron's 22 million coming in. There's also others like Gee but he was traded for free space.

I guess I'm saying that if he had organized it the Cavs could have at least traded Hawes for bench depth in the form of Dudley and Bullock. Or Miles could have went to the Rockets if he waited. It was rumored that Jamaal Crawford might have been on the table if Cleveland facilitated a sign and trade.

Last season we ended above the soft cap at around 70 million. Now we are stuck at the soft cap and its pissing me off.
