With all the rumors swirling about LeBron coming back to Cleveland I've been getting into a lot of conversations with people about the "right way" to win a championship. Personally, I think anyone who says they wouldn't want LeBron on their team is lying but I don't know everyone and I'm often wrong about stuff.
I do feel there is a line though. I really do not want to become the next Miami Heat.
I'd love it the most if we could ride it out with our young core and get our first championship without him. However, I am realistic enough to know a LOT has to go right for that to happen so I'd love it if LeBron returned and greatly increased our odds. I want to win one this half century! I also feel we have a legitimate right to LeBron James. We drafted him. He left us. I can buy the coming home for unfinished business storyline.
But what comes next? Is getting Love for TT or Bennett and a few picks because Minny has no leverage acceptable? Or is that like the Heat? What if Pau Gasol then came on the cheap? How much is too much? Does anything cheapen it at all? Does it not cheapen it if we make moves with our aquired assets instead of just getting big FAs that normally would never come to Cleveland?
For me, I think LeBron and Love (via our assets) is the most I could handle without feeling dirty. What do you all think?
