Parallel Universe NBA Finals Game 1: Open Thread
Superman and Other Turk look to cook The Beef and Paul Gaso (I borrowed the "L" from his last name) in some strange facsimile of the real NBA Finals. Discussion welcome.
Oh, and if anyone knows where I can find a broadcast of the real game, send me a discreet e-mail...

A 12-point loss. That is what the hopes of the Detroit Pistons hinge on, a 12-point loss in Game 2. Why? Because Detroit did trail 79-50 at one time in the 4th quarter before trimming the lead to 7. The Cavaliers re-focused, however, and have vowed not to let it happen again.
That doesn't mean Game 3 is going to be easy. Utah proved last night that a 1 v 8 series can get interesting. Cleveland needs to play better than it has in either of the first two games and finish the Pistons off for good.

LeBron James and the Cavaliers look to take a 2-0 lead over Detroit when their 1st Round Playoff series continues tonight at The Q. The Cavaliers are 40-2 at home this year, and a 2-0 deficit could mean a quick and hasty exit for the Pistons.
The Pistons have said all the right things heading into Game 2, including Rasheed Wallace's proclamation that the Pistons need to "Knuckle Up". Unlike Cavalier teams of the past, however, the Wine and Gold have plenty of scoring options surrounding LeBron. It truly is a 'pick your poison' scenario, one that Detroit may not be able to do anything about.

Game #82 - Philadelphia 76'ers @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Like most of the Cavaliers starters, I considered taking the night off. In the end, I decided just the First Half is long enough.
Talk about the record-setting evening right here, and get ready for the Playoffs, which get underway this weekend!
