This week we add the Lakers to the list as the battle for the #1 Seed through the playoffs is heating up. Just 20 games remain for the Cavaliers --
Los Angeles Lakers(50-12) - Last Week(2-0) - This Week -- 4 Games(1 Home, 3 Away)
The Lakers beat up on a couple of losers last week but will pay the price this week. Road trips to Portland, Houston and San Antonio preface a visit from Dallas. Four teams with a combined record of 160-91. A team in the East could make up some ground in the battle for the over-all #1 seed.
3/9 - @ Portland (39-23)
3/11 - @ Houston (41-23)
3/12 - @ San Antonio (42-20)
3/15 - Vs. Dallas (38-25)
Cleveland Cavaliers(49-13) - Last Week(3-1) - This Week -- 4 Games(1 Home, 3 Road)
A 3-1 week for the Cavaliers last week with the only tarnish an embarrassing performance against the Celtics in Boston. The Cavs did have an impressive sweep of the Miami Heat and were able to maintain their lead over Boston for the East's #1 seed. The final west coast trip of the season starts tomorrow with a trip to LA to face the Clippers. Stops in Phoenx and Sacramento preclude a home visit by the Knicks. 4-0 would be nice, 3-1 a must.
3/10 - @ LA Clippers (15-48)
3/12 - @ Phoenix (34-29)
3/13 - @ Sacramento (14-49)
3/15 - Vs. New York (25-37)
Boston Celtics(49-15) - Last Week (2-1) - This Week -- 3 Games(1 Home, 2 Road)
While it is true the Celtics looked impressive in beating Cleveland, the Cavaliers handled their defeat better by beating Miami, while Boston lost to Orlando yesterday. The loss dropped the Celtics 2 back in the loss column. The Cavs and Celtics play again in April. This week, the Celtics have a tough road test in Miami before playing a couple of teams well below .500.
3/11 - @ Miami (33-29)
3/13 - Vs. Memphis (16-46)
3/15 - @ Milwaukee (30-36)
Orlando Magic(46-16) - Last Week 3-0 - This Week -- 4 Games(2 Home, 2 Away)
Orlando swept their three games this week, including a road-win in Boston. They'll need to keep it going this week with roadies in Detroit and Washington coupled with home games against Chicago and a red-hot Utah Jazz team that has won 11 straight games.
3/9 - @ Detroit (31-30)
3/11 - Vs. Chicago (29-34)
3/13 - @ Washington (14-49)
3/15 - Vs. Utah (40-23)
