The Lakers win came at a cost - Delonte West will miss tonight's game, and likely more, after breaking the ring finger on his left hand. That is especially troubling since West is a left-handed shooter. Daniel Gibson will step in as the starter, while the Cavaliers signed former CSU Viking Cedric Jackson o a 10-days contract to add some depth.
The key for Gibson, and the Cavs, is not necessarily points from the PG position. They need Gibson to avoid turnovers and keep LeBron James from being forced to bring the ball up the court on offense. Look for the Thunder to pressure Gibson early to see if they can rattle him.
3-in the Key
1. The Cavaliers are 21-6 over their last 27 games, the best mark in the NBA. The Cavs are also 19-5 against teams with a .500 record or better on gameday.
2. The Thunder at #1 in the NBA in defensive FG percentage(.436). The Cavaliers are 2nd(.436)
3. LeBron James is #2 in the NBA inc scoring(29.7 ppg). Kevin Durant is #3(29.2 ppg)
2.
