When is it better for an NBA team to play a back-to-back? When they lose the front half by 20. The Cavaliers are in that situation tonight against the Sacramento Kings after getting blown out in Toronto last night 101-81.
The Kings come to town with the same record as the Cavs 1-1, both losses coming on the road. Sacramento lost last night in New Jersey 106-100. Sacrameto gave up 30 points or more in 3-of-4 quarters against New Jersey and have done so in 5-of-8 quarters played so far. Sacremento won on opening night in Minnsota 117-116.
3-in the Key
1. Cleveland will complete their first set of back-to-back games this season versus Sacramento tonight at the Q. The Kings are the first Western Conference opponent the Cavaliers will face this season. Cleveland swept the Kings last season and has won eight consecutive games versus Sacramento dating back to 2006, including four straight contests at home.
2. The Cavaliers are one of only two teams (Indiana) in the Central Division to have a victory so far early season.
3. The Cavaliers bench scored 52 points last night against Toronto with Antawn Jamison connecting on 3-5 (.600) shots from behind the arc on the way to a team-high 13 points off the bench in 25 minutes. The team's bench is averaging 42.0 points in two games this season.
