This is an exciting time around SBNation. For those of you that don't know, SBNation is the Blog Network that FearTheSword, and over 250 other fan sites, belongs to. It is because of the hard work, commitment and effort of those behind the network that guys like me get to do this. In short, I'm pretty lucky.
That's why it is so exciting to announce the next phase in the growth of SBNation - The Regional Sites. The first six of these sites launched last night - Chicago, Boston, New York, Detroit, Arizona and Washington D.C. - and they are second to none. Even the New York Times took notice.
What gets me excited the most is Cleveland will have their own site, dedicated to all the sports that matter to Clevelanders. Be on the look out for it June 17th. As part of the celebration, we'll be getting together at Fat Head's in North Olmsted on June 17th from 6-9PM. Stay tuned for more information on that!
As the Editor of the Cleveland Region, I am looking for the best possible team to bring you everything Cleveland sports related - from the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers to Ohio State, Kent St., Cleveland State, Akron and everything in-between.
If you are interested in writing about Cleveland Sports, don't hesitate to send me an email (fearthesword@gmail.com).
This is great news for you, the sports fan, as it gives you another avenue to quench your thirst for everything related to your favorite team(s). Check out the sites, take a look at the schedule, and hop on board for the next phase of citizen journalism!
