The Cleveland Cavaliers will play an eight-game preseason schedule in preparation for the 2010-11 NBA regular season, presented by Cub Cadet Premium Lawn Equipment, including a home game versus the Washington Wizards and No. 1 overall pick John Wall and a regional home game against the Philadelphia 76ers and No. 2 overall pick and former Ohio State star Evan Turner. The team will also face Euroleague superpower CSKA Moscow at Quicken Loans Arena. Cavalier fans throughout the region will be able to see the team in person as the Cavaliers will play three games at Quicken Loans Arena during the preseason, in addition to hosting neutral site games in Pittsburgh, PA, Cincinnati, OH and Columbus, OH.
Cleveland will open the preseason with two home games at Quicken Loans Arena, the first versus the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 7:00 p.m. and the second against the Washington Wizards on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 7:00 p.m. The Cavaliers then travel to Texas for back-to-back games with the first stop against the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 6:00 p.m., and the second against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center on Monday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The team will complete their Texas tussle in the first regional home game against the San Antonio Spurs in Pittsburgh, which will represent the return of Pittsburgh native, former Pitt All-American and Spurs forward DeJuan Blair on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center.
Cleveland returns home for their final home game at The Q to play perennial Russian League Champion and Euroleague powerhouse CSKA Moscow on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. The Cavaliers finish the preseason with two regional home games including a matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7:00 p.m. at US Bank Arena in Cincinnati. The preseason finale will have the team in Columbus facing the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m. at The Ohio State University's Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center.
All preseason games will be broadcast live on Cavaliers Radio Flagship WTAM 1100 AM with Joe Tait calling the action for all eight contests. The Oct. 19th game versus Philadelphia that will be played in Cincinnati will be televised on FOX Sports Ohio.
