The Cleveland Cavaliers announced on Thursday afternoon that Kyrie Irving underwent surgery to have his wisdom teeth removed. Really? Wisdom teeth?
This is one of those reminders that this guy is just 20 years old. I'm not sure why he opted to have this surgery now, but the Cavs must not be that concerned if they let him do it. According to the team, Irving had all four of his wisdom teeth removed and will be sidelined indefinitely. The recovery time is generally just a couple of days and there's no reason to think he won't be ready for the season opener on October 30th against the Wizards.
This is definitely one of the weirder news posts that I've had to write. Get well soon, Kyrie. And eat lots of yogurt.
