Cavaliers Sign Cleveland State Guard D'Aundray Brown

With Kyrie Irving being sidelined after wisdom teeth surgery and several other players banged up, the Cavaliers find themselves short on bodies in training camp.

Eric P. Mull-US PRESSWIRE

Chris Grant announced today that the Cavaliers have signed former Cleveland State guard D'Aundray Brown to the training camp roster. With under a week to go before Opening Night, I have to assume that this is merely to get more bodies in practice.

The team also announced today that Kyrie Irving had surgery to remove his wisdom teeth. Furthermore, Daniel Gibson is banged up with some concussion symptoms. Luke Harangody is just too damn good, so it's not fair to practice against him.

In order to get enough bodies in camp and continue practicing for the season opener, the Cavs brought in Brown. There is a ridiculously slim chance that we ever see him play in a game for the Cavaliers. This might actually be the last thing you read about him with regards to the Cavs. Regardless, welcome, D'Aundray!
