Report: Tyler Zeller Suffers Fractured Cheekbone, Concussion Against Clippers

Tyler Zeller had a great game against the Clippers on Monday. Then he got whacked in the face by DeAndre Jordan and had to come out of the game. The initial x-rays were negative, but they didn't stay that way.

That's SOOO Cleveland. Rookie big man Tyler Zeller had a fantastic game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday and is now out indefinitely with a fractured cheekbone and concussion, according to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal. In the shown picture, Zeller is using his hands to literally keep his cheek from falling off his face. Literally.

"Zeller suffered a non-displaced fracture of his left orbital cheekbone and has been placed in the league's concussion process. No timeline has been given for his return, but he is obviously out tonight and for the near future"

There's a new concussion policy in place in the NBA, so Zeller will have to pass all of those tests and be cleared by doctors before he can play again. This kind of sucks, but it doesn't sound too serious. Expect to see Jon Leuer or Samardo Samuels get more playing time with Zeller now out for the foreseeable future.
