Merry Christmas to us, I guess? Even after nearly a week of rest, Anderson Varejao's knee bruise is still bothering him. According to the team, the Cleveland Cavaliers' starting center will not be traveling with the team to Washington DC and will not play against the Wizards on Wednesday night.
Cavaliers forward/center Anderson Varejao (right knee contusion) will not travel with the team to Washington, DC for the Cavs game vs. the Wizards tomorrow night. His status for tomorrow night is OUT.
Varejao suffered the injury against the Toronto Raptors on December 18th. It's still being reported as just a bruise (or contusion), and hopefully it's nothing more serious. Tyler Zeller has been pretty okay-ish as the starting center while Andy has been hurt.
