NBA Rising Stars Challenge: How To Watch It

As you may know by now, Cavaliers rookies Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson were selected for this year's version of the Rookie-Sophomore challenge. It's been renamed, however, and is now the "BBVA Rising Stars Challenge".

Thompson was drafted onto Team Shaq and Kyrie was drafted onto Team Chuck. The two will face off tonight at 9 PM Eastern and you can watch the game on TNT.

There will of course be plenty of hubbub surrounding the Knicks' Jeremy Lin, but this will be one of the first times that a national audience gets to see the Cleveland rookies in action -- hopefully they put on a show. I know I'll be watching and I expect all of you Cavs fans to tune in to TNT at 9 PM EST as well.

Of course, Tom Ziller of SBNation broke down the entire weekend and pointed out how to best enjoy each event. Make sure you read his guide to NBA All Star Weekend.

The 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend is upon us, with the first televised events coming Friday night. (Yes, Jeremy Lin will be playing in the Rising Stars Challenge as the third game of a back-to-back-to-back.) Each night of the long weekend will feature an event considered must-watch ... but will have real moments of unwatchable dread.
