Free agency begins on July 1st and the Cavaliers have the rest of the day to make decisions on their restricted free agents. According to reports, the Cavaliers quickly made a qualifying offer to Alonzo Gee and have every intention of bringing him back. He's a restricted free agent now and the qualifying offer is right around 2.6 million dollars.

The Cavaliers' other restricted free agents are Luke Harangody and Semih Erden. The qualifying offer for each guy is just over a million dollars. According to Jason Lloyd, the Cavs still haven't made decisions on Erden or Harangody but obviously need to make them today.

The Cavs have until today to decide whether or not to extend qualifying offers of around $1 million to Semih Erden and Luke Harangody. If the Cavs choose not to, both players will become unrestricted free agents and available to sign with any team.

I'm being completely honest when I say that I do not care what they do with Erden and Harangody. If they make qualifying offers to them, it's not a lot of money and they need bodies anyway. If they don't, that's fine too. You can certainly get other players of their ability in free agency. From what I've heard, the Cavs intend to make the offer to Harangody and aren't sure on Erden yet. Once we find out for sure, I'll let you know what they decide with Erden and Harangody. I'm sure you guys are all on the edge of your seats.
