Kyrie Irving fractured his hand at a practice with the Cavaliers in Las Vegas. On Wednesday, the team announced that he had successful surgery on the injured hand.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Thomas Graham and Cavaliers Head Team Physician Dr. Richard Parker. Irving is projected to be ready for the start of training camp at the end of September and his status will be updated as appropriate.
This is good news.
Kyrie Irving should be able to make a full recovery and be ready for the Cavs training camp in September. It would have been nice to see Kyrie in Summer League (and destroy people), but the important thing is that he'll be ready for the regular season.
