The NBA will release the 2012-13 season schedule tonight on NBA TV at 7 pm Eastern. I'm not sure why they need an entire show to released the schedule, but that's how they're doing it. Remember, this year we get the full 82 games instead of the crazy condensed 66-game schedule from last season.
Last year the Cavaliers had a couple of games on NBATV, but none on national television (as in TNT or ESPN). This year, with the reigning rookie of the year in Kyrie Irving, I expect the NBA to put Cleveland on national television at least a couple of times.
I suspect that Knicks-Nets will take place on both Opening Night and Christmas Day. You've got to think that Thunder-Heat will also be on Christmas, along with Lakers-Clippers.
If the NBA doesn't put one Cavaliers-Hornets game on national television, then they're doing it wrong.
