Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Final Score: Sixers thrash Cavs, 94-79

The Cavaliers are still looking for their first road win of the season. A miserable performance meant that they wouldn't get it in Philadelphia. Will they ever win one?

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers had a fantastic start to this game. They lead 28-14 at the end of the first quarter, but things quickly fell apart. By the time halftime rolled around, the Sixers had regained the lead and the Cavs had to work their way back.

The big news from this game was that Anthony Bennett hurt his shoulder. No, it wasn't the same shoulder that he had surgery on during the offseason. He has a sprained right shoulder and didn't return to this game after hurting it in the first quarter. We'll give you updates on Bennett's status once we know more.

The Sixers came out with more energy, more hustle, and more defense than the Cavs. For whatever reason, Cleveland's offense continues to be terrible and it makes it really hard to win games that way.

Dion Waiters got off to a hot start, but quickly regressed. Andrew Bynum made his first appearance in a game in Philadelphia and was loudly booed. It's clear that Bynum still isn't full healthy and it will take some time for him to get his touch back. The good thing is that he's still an enormous person and drastically helps the defense when he's on the court.

But the Cavs put forth their second straight terrible defensive performance. Just a few nights after allowing the Milwaukee Bucks to score 109 points, they let the Sixers shoot well over 50% for much of the game. The Cavs' offense isn't nearly potent enough right now to keep up with teams when the defense plays so terribly.

Kyrie Irving had another really rough night shooting the ball. The offense is not going to improve until Kyrie starts playing better.

I don't feel like breaking this down tonight, so we'll have more on it tomorrow. The Cavs fall to 2-4 and will play the Sixers again tomorrow night in Cleveland.

ROLL CALL.
