Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Miami Heat: Cavs come up short, lose 109-105

The Cleveland Cavaliers made a worthy comeback attempt, but just couldn't hold on late in the game, losing again in Miami.

USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat jumped out to a 22-point lead and led by 18 points at halftime. But the Cleveland Cavaliers refused to go quietly into that good night. Some heroics from Dion Waiters and CJ Miles brought the Cavs all the way back and they took a lead late in the fourth quarter. Waiters had 26 points and Miles had 19 points off the bench. Kyrie Irving never seemed to be able to get going. The fourth quarter takeover that we've become so accustomed to just never came.

But then Dwyane Wade and LeBron James remembered how good they are and took down the Cavaliers, 109-105.

It was a really good game, other than some pathetic defensive lapses. Once again, the Cavs showed that they could play with anybody, anywhere (except the Chicago Bulls).

I fully expect the Cavs to beat Miami at least once when the Heat visit the Q later this season.
