It is an important day in Cleveland as long-time presumptive first overall pick Nerlens Noel visits and interviews with the Cavaliers. We'll be updating and giving you more information on this periodically as it comes available. However, it appears there is already other news out of Cleveland. It is a possible deal has been struck between the Mavericks and Cavaliers for the 13th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, according to Pro Basketball Draft.
Dallas has been looking to move out of the 13th overall spot for a while now, and it has been speculated that the Cavaliers may be looking to add another lottery pick. It seems as if the Cavs really do have an infatuation with Sergey Karasev and are willing to move up to surely secure his services. If they are such fans of his, it makes sense to use their considerable stock of upcoming draft picks in order to grab him. There is no report on what the actual parameters of the deal may be. We'll keep you updated if anything continues to come of this, as well informing you further about Noel's trip to Cleveland.
There is also more indication that Alex Len is a strong possibility for the Cavs at number one, though ESPN insider Chad Ford continues to push back on the notion that there is a favorite in Cleveland.
Len has emerged as top choice for Cleveland with ability to contribute on both ends of the court & should be 100% by training camp.
