What are you doing for the NBA Draft? If the answer isn't "sitting around and talking on the Fear the Sword open thread," then you should be at Quicken Loans Arena. The Cleveland Cavaliers are hosting a *FREE* NBA Draft party at the Q and you should be there.
Also, while you're there, you could win some dope prizes and stuff. Check it out:
The night of fun will also include a lucky Cavs fan winning a FREE, two (2) night trip for two (2) to Las Vegas to experience 2013 NBA Summer League courtesy of Horseshoe Casino and watch the Cavaliers live in action! (Prize includes game tickets, hotel and airfare.)
On top of the free draft party, the Cavaliers are running a contest called "Tackk the Draft." Basically, you predict who the Cavs are going to draft within the next day or two, fill out the online submission thing, and you can win VIP tickets to the Cavs draft party at the Q that I literally just talked about.
How do you win, you ask? It's simple. Get ready to Tackk! We've teamed up with Tackk to provide our fans a creative way to show off their Cavs pride by telling us who you think the Wine and Gold should draft. One grand prize winner will receive a VIP Experience at the Cavaliers Draft Party on June 27th including a locker room tour, access to the VIP section and a $50 Cavs Team Shop Gift Card.
It's a pretty cool idea for a contest and you can get pretty creative with your submission. If you win, you have to tell me about it and take pictures and write a Fan Post for everybody here at Fear the Sword.
Here's one of the best parts about the Cavs NBA Draft Party: if you bring a donation, you get tickets to a Cavs game in 2013-14. Why wouldn't you go do this?
The Cavaliers will be collecting non-perishable food items at the Draft Party to benefit the Cleveland Foodbank. Fans who bring a donation will receive two (2) tickets to a 2013-14 regular season Cavaliers game* in November or December. The "super six" most needed items are: peanut butter, tuna fish, canned vegetables, canned soup, cereal and beef stew.
