The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to get hype for the 2013-14 NBA season. After winning just 24 games last year, the Cavs had a very busy offseason in their attempts to make a push for the playoffs this time around. According to ESPN.com's Summer Forecast, the Cavs will be successful in their efforts.
In an earlier exercise, this same ESPN panel predicted that the Cavs would make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference as the 8th seed. In their newest section of the offseason review, the ESPN panel ranked the Cavaliers as the number one "turnaround team."
How does ESPN define "Team Turnaround?" Here's their definition:
Which team is most likely to shake the shabby mantle of sub-mediocrity and emerge as a new heavyweight this season?
The Cavs led all teams with 159 votes for this category. That means they ranked ahead (obviously) of other improving teams such as the Washington Wizards, Detroit Pistons, and New Orleans Pelicans. The Wizards ranked second with 105 votes.
It's understandable for Cleveland fans to be excited about the direction of the franchise when even people at ESPN are optimistic about the 2013-14 Cleveland Cavaliers.
