Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Portland Trail Blazers: Kyrie Irving looks for revenge against Damian Lillard

The Cavaliers suffered a devastating loss against the Blazers last time. Can they get revenge?

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers narrowly beat the Los Angeles Lakers last night. Tonight, they continue their road trip and visit the Portland Trail Blazers. I don't expect a win, but we have to watch the game regardless. So let's discuss it a bit.

Who? Cleveland Cavaliers (14-24) at Portland Trail Blazers (28-9)

When? 10:00 PM Eastern

Where? Rose Garden -- Portland, OR

Where on my eyeballs? Fox Sports Ohio / NBA League Pass

Music?

Kyrie Irving didn't really show up for last night's game. He dealt with foul trouble and never really got into rhythm. The nice thing was that the Cavs were able to win the game without much help from their star point guard. Perhaps that means that he will be fresh and ready to bounce back tonight. If there's ever a game for Kyrie to get up for, it's this one. Last time these two teams played, Damian Lillard sunk the Cavs at the buzzer at Quicken Loans Arena. Wouldn't it be great for Kyrie to return the favor?

I have talked at length about how terrible the Cavs' defense has been on the road. Last night we saw just how horrible it can be. Do you think it's a good thing that the Cavs will now have to try to stop the #1 ranked offense in the NBA? Hint: it's not.

For as awesome as the Blazers' offense has been, their defense isn't very good. They're defense is ranked just 22nd in the NBA. Will that help the Cavs' inconsistent offense? Maybe. I don't know. It should, but then again, the Cavs do a nice job of making bad defenses look really good.

As I'm writing this, my roommate is watching Godzilla on AMC. You know how in Godzilla, all of the eggs are in Madison Square Garden? What if that happened during this game? What if the Cavs show up for tonight's game at the Rose Garden and just find a whole bunch of baby Godzilla eggs. That'd be dope.

Fear the Sword's Fearless Prediction:

The Cavs show up to the arena and find a whole bunch of baby Godzilla eggs.
