The starting lineups for the 2014 NBA All Star teams were announced Thursday night on TNT. For the second year in a row, Kyrie Irving will represent the Cleveland Cavaliers at All Star Weekend. The starters for the All Star Game are determined by the fan vote and Kyrie was the second leading vote-getter among Eastern Conference guards behind only Dwyane Wade.
CLEVELAND - Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving has been voted as a starter to the 2014 Eastern Conference All-Star team by the fans, it was announced today by the NBA. Irving finished with 860,221 total votes in the NBA All-Star Balloting program.
Irving and Wade will be joined by LeBron James, Paul George, and Carmelo Anthony. They will face off against the starting lineup for the Western Conference which is led by Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. Blake Griffin, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Love were also voted in as starters for the Western Conference.
The reserves for the All Star teams will be announced next Thursday night before the games on TNT.
