Jarrett Jack out with back spasms against Indiana Pacers, Matthew Dellavedova will start

The Cavs are down two point guards for Sunday's game.

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers were already without Kyrie Irving for Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers. And then about 45 minutes before the game, news broke that Jarrett Jack would also miss this game, due to back spasms. Jack was slated to start at point guard in place of Irving.

Here's the entire release from the Cavs. It's very insightful.

Cavaliers guard Jarrett Jack (lower back spasms) is listed as OUT for tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers at Quicken Loans Arena. His status will be updated as appropriate.

Now, Matthew Dellavedova will be the starting point guard for the Cavs against the Pacers' top ranked defense. Since he's the only other point guard on the roster, Delly might have to play all 48 minutes. Dion Waiters will probably take his fair share of ball-handling duties as well. The Cavs are also on their second night of a back-to-back.This could will get ugly.

Here's a helpful update from Jason Lloyd, in case you were thinking that Jack was held out because he was part of a trade.
