Cleveland Cavaliers unveil new scoreboard for Quicken Loans Arena

If you are into cutting edge stadium aesthetics, well, the Q will be the place for you

The Cleveland Cavaliers have announced, and unveiled, their new stadium scoreboard that will be ready to go this Thursday night. Proudly declaring that "It’s the Biggest, the Best and it has Flaming Sabers!", the team's Arena experience should be nothing short of incredible for the indefinite future.

The scoreboard is the largest of any arena in the country, with "5,550 total square feet of LED technology." The Cavaliers say that it will help them bring attractions to the city:

The new HD scoreboard and the related audio and video systems are part of Cuyahoga County and Gateway’s updates to Quicken Loans Arena and are at the core of how Cleveland can aggressively compete for events such as the 2016 Republican National Convention. As it has in the past, The Q will continue to be a key part of community-wide efforts to attract major national and international events to Cleveland, including a future NBA All-Star game and more NCAA tournament and championship events that bring millions of dollars into the city and region.

An All-Star game would be pretty cool. The scoreboard comes with flaming swords and fire that will warm you up if you are in Loudville. In other words, hottest ticket in town just got a little bit hotter. Literally. There's a new sound system which is likely to make the pregame introductions just that much better.

If you make the game Thursday, please let us know how it is.
