In a press release sent out today, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced that the team had waived point guard A.J. Price, cutting the roster to 14 players. Price, who did not play in either the Cavs' first two regular season games, averaged 7.2 points and 1.5 assists in 13.3 minutes per game in the preseason.
Subsequently, Both Mark Spears of Yahoo! Sports and Chris Haynes of the Northeast Ohio Media Group reported that the Cavs have signed free agent point guard Will Cherry to a non-guaranteed two-year contract.
