His roster spot will go back to A.J. Price, whom the Cavaliers previously cut this season. That news is from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

I really wanted to stick to my rule of not paying a ton of attention to the 14th and 15th spots of the Cleveland Cavaliers roster this year, but Will Cherry had actually been getting some playing time. Matthew Dellavedova has been hurt, and David Blatt has not shown much interest in using Dion Waiters as a point guard.
Cherry shot 26% for the Cavaliers, 22% from three point range, 50% from the free throw line in 69 minutes. He didn't look completely overwhelmed as a ball-handler, compiling eight assists to just four turnovers.
Price is a six year point guard out of Connecticut. In 10 games with the Pacers this season, Price has shot 44% from the field, 39% from three. The Cavaliers may feel he will be more steady as a veteran hand. He had his moment for the team in the preseason for Cleveland.
