Christmas day basketball open thread

Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, feel free to hang out here.

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone. Everyone approaches this time of year differently, and I hope everyone is in good spirits. Christmas basketball is really fun, and for many around the United States and world, this day signifies the true beginning of the NBA season. As James Jones said before the Hornets game last week, this is the time of year when you can start to look at teams tendencies and take stock of them.

You may have all kinds of family stuff and have to watch out of the corner of your eye (me), or you might have a true day off to relax and soak in all the action. If so, I'm jealous, to a point. The NBA has a fun slate of action, and feel free to hang out here and talk about them, or whatever you may have received or given for the holidays, or whatever you want. We will have a full game thread for the Cavs later, but this will serve us until about 4:00 ET.

The schedule

Washington Wizards at New York Knicks - 12:00 ET

Oklahoma City at San Antonio Spurs - 2:30 ET

Cleveland at Miami - 5:00 ET

Los Angeles Lakers at Chicago Bulls - 8:00 ET

Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Clippers - 10:30 ET

Merry Christmas from the FTS staff. Have a good one.
