Cleveland Cavaliers ticket offer for Zydrunas Ilgauskas jersey retirement night

Want to see Big Z's jersey get retired? The Cavs have a pretty great deal for you.

USA TODAY Sports

Zydrunas Ilgauskas' #11 jersey will be retired by the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 8th against the New York Knicks. From what I hear, they've got some pretty big things planned for that ceremony. If I could, I would absolutely be there. Unfortunately, I live halfway across the country. But you should go. If the atmosphere is anything like when Big Z returned to the Cavs after being traded to the Wizards, it's going to be an incredible night.

And the Cavs have set up a sweet deal for you if you're interested.

Here's what it looks like:

Here are the two options:

Buy one ticket in the 200 level (best available, includes center court seats while available) for March 8th; get one complimentary ticket to the OKC or Rockets game.
Cost is $50

Buy one ticket in the 100 level (best available, includes club seats while available) for March 8th; get one complimentary ticket to the OKC or Rockets game.
Cost is $95

There are also additional incentives for purchasing multiple tickets:

Purchase 10 tickets (100 or 200 level) get an additional 2 complimentary VIP Club Seats (complimentary beer, wine, soda and food) for any available game (includes all games while available).
Purchase 25 tickets (100 or 200 level) get an additional 4 complimentary VIP Club Seats (complimentary beer, wine, soda and food) for any available game (includes all games while available).
Purchase 50 tickets (200 level) get an additional 6 complimentary VIP Club Seats (complimentary beer, wine, soda and food) for any available game (includes all games while available).
Purchase 50 tickets (100 level) get a complimentary suite night (18 tickets, 3 parking passes) for the 3/25 or 4/9 game.

So basically, if you buy a ticket for the Big Z jersey retirement night, you get a free ticket to see the Cavs play the Rockets or the Thunder (who the Cavs just beat, by the way). If you buy a 200 level ticket for the Big Z night, you're essentially paying $25 for each ticket. Not bad.

In order to take advantage of this deal, you should do it soon. After all, the game is next Saturday and it's sure to sell out before then. To get tickets, fill out this order form (and indicate how many tickets you want if you aren't buying a big package) and call Mark Schoppe of the Cavs at 216-420-2913 or email him at MSchoppe@cavs.com.
