Jamal Crawford of the Los Angeles Clippers was voted as the winner of this year's Sixth Man of the Year Award. He received 57 first place votes and narrowly beat out Taj Gibson of the Chicago Bulls by a final tally of 421 to 395. Congratulations to Jamal Crawford. He was great this year and was certainly deserving of the award. Taj Gibson also had a great year and could have easily won the award.
But let's get to the important part about all of this...Dion Waiters received a 2nd place vote!
BOOYAH IN YOUR FACE, HATERZ.
The lone second place vote meant that Waiters finished 3 points, tied for 8th overall with Enes Kanter (!!?!) and Nick Young.
Because the voting for awards is public this year, I was able to look up who voted for Waiters and saw that it was Rick Bonnell, a very good beat writer for the Charlotte Observer who covers the Horncats/Bobnets. I pointed this out on Twitter and he responded.
@ConradKazNBA Yes I did. That a problem?

No, it's not a problem at all. In fact, I think it's cool.
Dion Waiters for 8th best 6th Man of the Year! Huzzah!
