The results of Embiid's workout and examination will likely have a massive impact on the results of June 26th's draft as it is believed that a clean bill of health would result in Embiid becoming the first overall pick. If the Cavs determine that Embiid is a health risk there's really no telling how the draft will unfold or how far Embiid would end up falling.
That being said, I don't expect a decision to be made by the Cavs until the last minute. The team has reportedly been working the trade market to exhaust all possibilities before coming to a final decision. However, there is a good chance that some news leaks after the Cavs meet with Embiid on Thursday. We will likely see some reports talking about the Cavs' general reactions to Embiid's workout and medical evaluation. If all of the reports are positive, then we might be that much closer to knowing who will be selected first overall in the 2014 NBA Draft.
