Other than the oncoming Kyrie Irving offer, there hasn't been much Cavs buzz leading up to free agency. Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio has changed that.
Cavs expected to make run at F Chandler Parson (Rockets) and C Marcin Gortat (Wizards) once free agency begins tonight. Parsons restricted.

Parsons, a 6'9 wingman who has been in Houston for his entire career, averaged 16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists a game last season.
Gortat, a 6'11 center who spent his first and possibly only season in Washington last year averaged 13.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.5 blocks a game.
Both would provide things that have been mostly foreign to recent Cavaliers teams. Parsons' length, shooting, and passing on the wing hasn't been seen but for our sampling of Luol Deng. Gortat would provide consistent post scoring and rim protection that the team probably hasn't witnessed since Zydrunas Ilgauskas was a much younger lad.
As an overall fit, this certainly lends to the current M.O. of David Griffin which prioritizes length, shooting, and passing.
Free Agency opens at Midnight, Eastern Time.
