When the Cavaliers traded away Dion Waiters, they received an explosive scorer in J.R. Smith as well as the draft pick needed to acquire the rim protecting Timofey Mozgov. But the main piece that came over from New York in that deal hasn't even made his Cavs debut yet! That piece is of course the high top rocking Iman Shumpert.
On Sunday the Cavs guard posted the following message on his Instagram account, raising hope that his debut might be just around the corner:
Then today this came via Brian Windhorst:
Kevin Love (back) expected to play tonight for Cavs vs. Bulls. Iman Shumpert (shoulder) appeared to do work with 2nd unit in shootaround.

So it's possible that Shumpert could play tonight against the Chicago Bulls. While he may not start right off the bat, he is an ideal fit in the starting lineup, allowing J.R. Smith to provide scoring off of the bench.
The Cavs are getting healthy! Slowly but surely.
