For the third time this season, Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week. From Jan. 15 to Jan. 25, James averaged 27.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists as the Cavaliers went 4-0. This is the 48th time in his career that James has named player of the week. The NBA announced James' award in a press release and the Cavs announced it on Twitter.

Over the course of the week, the Cavaliers beat the Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder. Cleveland was also one four teams to go undefeated last week.

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thomspon, who scored 37 points in a quarter vs. the Sacramento Kings this week, was named the Western Conference's Player of the Week.
